Review VdZ Conference Berlin

The VdZ annual conference took place in Berlin from June 18 to 21, 2025 - a major event for zoological garden professionals. The Association of Zoological Gardens (VdZ) is the oldest zoo association in the world and organizes this annual conference, which consists of scientific sessions, business meetings and excursions.
The focus of the conference was on topics such as future strategies for species conservation, human-animal relationships in science and society, and the comparison of national biodiversity strategies. The event provided a platform for the exchange of ideas and best practices among zoo directors, senior zoo experts, scientists and other professionals.
It was an excellent opportunity to make new contacts, deepen existing relationships and think together about the future and the conservation of biodiversity.
Many thanks to the organizers and all participants for the inspiring discussions and the lively exchange!
