Neckarpark Education Centre
With the Neckarpark Education Centre, a pioneering educational center has been created in Stuttgart that unites various facilities under one roof. On the new NeckarPark site, an elementary school, day care centre, sports hall and adult education center combine to form a modern campus. The project sets new standards for contemporary learning and meeting places and blends harmoniously into the urban environment with its open architecture and sustainable design.
X-TEND stainless steel cable mesh was installed as railing infills for the fall protection. A total of around 1,318 m² of X-TEND cable mesh with a mesh size of 40 mm and a cable diameter of 1.5 mm was used. The filigree structure of the cable meshes offers ETA safety, remains almost invisible and preserves the transparency of the light-flooded interior spaces. Durable, low-maintenance and aesthetically pleasing, the stainless steel cable mesh contributes significantly to the open character of the building.
