Project details

Canberra Hospital

Canberra Hospital is expanding its capacity with a new building to meet the growing needs of the region. The impressive building not only boasts modern architecture, but also a façade that acts as a work of art and contributes to sustainable cooling. The facade is made of X-TEND® CXA Stainless Steel Cable Mesh, to which sequins are attached, forming the impressive pattern of the artwork "Journey to Healing" by the talented First Nations artist Lynnice Church. With 25,000 sequins, this work of art becomes a fascinating installation. This project, realized through innovative solutions and close collaboration with Ronstan Tensile Architecture, is helping to shape the future of the hospital in Garran.
