COAC - Col-legi d'Arquitectes de Catalunya
The traditional building of the Col-legi d'Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC), located directly on the central Plaça Nova in Barcelona, has been extensively renovated and reinterpreted in terms of both content and space. The aim of Peris + Toral Arquitectes was to create an open building - architecturally, culturally and in terms of urban planning. The new Centre Obert d'Arquitectura combines interior and exterior spaces to create a permeable experience space for architecture, the city and society.
All around, a filigree X-TEND® CXS Stainless Steel Cable Mesh provides fall protection for the roof terrace - discreet and durable. The open mesh structure with a cable diameter of just 1.5 mm and a mesh width of 60 mm preserves a clear view over Barcelona and at the same time meets all safety requirements. The fall protection with X-TEND® Stainless Steel Cable Mesh was realized by our Spanish partner Arc316 Mallas y Cables S.A..
