Dreamworld Tiger Island
Tiger Island at Dreamworld theme park in Coomera, Gold Coast, has been one of Australia's most famous attractions since it opened in 1995. It is home to Sumatran and Bengal tigers, two of the rarest big cats in the world. Visitors experience the animals in all their power and agility during daily presentations. At the same time, Tiger Island serves as an important ambassador for species conservation: international conservation programs for tigers are supported and promoted by the Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation.
The Tiger Catwalk is a special highlight. This is a raised tube made from black X-TEND Stainless Steel Cable Meshwhich allows the tigers to move safely between areas. Thanks to its open structure, the filigree mesh offers a clear view and at the same time blends unobtrusively into the surroundings. This creates a spectacular moment for visitors when the animals walk through the transparent structure directly above their heads - an impressive interplay of functionality, aesthetics and animal welfare.
