Project details

Flinders Uni Bridge

Built in 1964, the pedestrian bridge, which is more than 100 meters long, connects the student residences to the main campus and spans a deep ravine. With its steel structure and a Bondek-like composite concrete slab, it was once one of the university's most used paths.

In the course of the refurbishment, our X-TEND® stainless steel cable mesh was integrated as a fall protection and design element. The filigree mesh not only ensures safety, but also gives the bridge a modern, light aesthetic that blends harmoniously into the surroundings.
