In the heart of the Ruhr region, in the vibrant city of Essen, the Flowers Hotel has been welcoming guests since July 2020. With its central location, it is an ideal starting point for trade fair visitors and art lovers alike. In the immediate vicinity of renowned sights such as the Museum Folkwang and the Red Dot Design Museum, the hotel offers a perfect mix of comfort and modern architecture.
Those responsible for the Flowers Hotel have focused on transparency and security - creating a novelty in hotel architecture. Instead of conventional balcony railings, the room balconies have been fitted with a gold-coloured X-TEND® stainless steel cable mesh was fitted. This modern solution allows guests an unobstructed view of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolis while ensuring maximum safety. The robust mesh provides stylish and functional fall protection. With a mesh width of 60 mm and a cable diameter of 2 mm, X-TEND® ensures that guests can easily open balcony doors and windows without birds, for example, getting into the room. In total, an impressive 3,300 m² of X-TEND® stainless steel was used for the entire building - both outside on the balconies and extensively inside on the second floor.
The stylish design of the Flowers Hotel is reflected not only in the rooms, all of which have balconies, but also in the spacious roof terrace, which offers a breathtaking view over Essen.
