Project details

Fuchshof School Ludwigsburg

The Fuchshof School in Ludwigsburg proves that a school building can indeed combine safety, aesthetics and sustainability. The award-winning project impresses with all-round escape balconies and a façade made of X-TEND® Stainless Steel Cable Meshwhich also functions as fall protection.

The truss construction follows the cradle-to-cradle principle, which means that attention was paid to resource conservation and a closed product cycle right from the start of the construction project. With 1733 m² of X-TEND®, a mesh width of 60 mm and a cable diameter of 2 mm, the building not only offers security, but also sets architectural accents.

Awarded with the Baden-Württemberg Timber Construction Prize 2024, the Fuchshof School is a showcase model for innovative architecture and sustainable construction in the educational landscape.
