Project details

Lecture hall building University of Osnabrück

Since 2010, a modern campus has been created on a former barracks site, combining a canteen, library and lecture hall building in a forward-looking design. The architectural highlight of the site is the multi-storey learning landscape. This impresses with its rising terraces, which are seamlessly connected via ramps, stairs and seating steps, and creates an open, inviting atmosphere for students.

X-TEND® stainless steel cable mesh was used to support the brightness and openness of the rooms. The filigree cable mesh with a mesh width of 60 mm and a cable diameter of 1.5 mm not only ensure reliable fall protection, but also contribute to the friendly and light design of the learning environment with their transparent appearance. A total of 220 m² of X-TEND® meshes were installed, which blend harmoniously into the modern architecture of the campus.
