Riedlepark children's home
The new Riedlepark children's house in Friedrichshafen impresses with its unique architectural concept. The focal point of the building is a spacious, floor-to-ceiling gallery with a floating cocoon made of fanned-out wooden discs, which offers the children an exciting retreat and a wide range of opportunities for interaction.
The gallery is surrounded by the X-TEND® stainless steel cable mesh secured all around. With a mesh width of 60 mm and a cable diameter of 2.0 mm, it ensures maximum safety without compromising the open character of the space. The staircases, which rise up like a grandstand in the middle of the room, are also secured by the filigree mesh with a mesh width of 40 mm. The innovative combination of wood and stainless steel cable mesh ensures a harmonious interplay of safety and aesthetic design. The Riedlepark children's house, designed by Lanz Schwager Architekten, shows how modern architecture can meet the needs of children while at the same time meeting the highest safety standards.
