Observing magnificent birds is an enriching experience not only for ornithologists, but also for many others. Many bird species are difficult to find in the wild in Europe, but perfectly designed aviaries in zoos offer a great alternative.
One of the most impressive aviaries can be found in Loro Parque on Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands. The flight-loving Lori parrots live in an impressive open-air enclosure. The aviary was built using X-TEND® stainless steel cable mesh and comprises 17,000 cubic meters of living space in which the parrots can lead a carefree and species-appropriate life.
Exoticism on the most beautiful island in the Canary Islands Loro Parque offers a unique exotic world. The "Katandra Tree Tops" aviary is as big as the Paris Opera and is home not only to the Lori parrots, but also to many other extraordinary bird species. The highest point of the aviary reaches 27 meters.
Visitors can experience the birds not only from the outside, but also up close. The entire area is accessible and surrounded by around 3,200 m² of X-TEND® Colours CXE in black. Many birds are visible at first glance, while others require a targeted search.
Not only the birds invite you to linger Inside the aviary, benches invite you to relax and observe, so that visitors can discover the rare birds in a quiet moment.
