Chill-out Memminger Platz
Memminger Platz in Munich's Moosach district was extensively redesigned in 2014 at a cost of 7.3 million euros and offers a wide range of uses for residents and visitors on an area of 9,000 square meters.
The grass island invites you to relax and socialize, while the food island offers a variety of culinary delights for a relaxing break. The offer is complemented by a streetball facility with integrated grandstand, which has been specially designed for young people aged 14 to 18. Here they can show off their sporting skills and exchange ideas in an inviting environment.
The streetball system is equipped with an X-TEND® stainless steel cable mesh which ensures safety and a smooth flow of play. The ball catch mesh, with a mesh size of 60 mm, covers a total of 304 square meters and fits harmoniously into the facility. The stability, durability and flexibility of the net ensure safe use and a modern appearance.
The newly designed Memminger Platz combines leisure, recreation and community and has become a popular meeting place for local residents.
