Moorfields Eye Hospital
The Moorfield Eye Hospital in London, the world's largest children's eye hospital, combines medical excellence with aesthetic design. Since its foundation in 1805, the hospital has treated generations of patients and trained renowned eye specialists. Even Queen Victoria was among the patrons of this institution steeped in tradition.
The modern facade of the hospital is a real eye-catcher. Our stainless steel cables were used to attach aluminum slats to the building envelope. These slats have a dual function: during the day, they provide shade and create a pleasant atmosphere, while at night they create an inviting and child-friendly atmosphere with colorful lighting.
The artistic design of the facade invites viewers to find their own interpretation. The aluminum slats hanging from the filigree I-SYS® Cables look almost like a work of art. These "eye-catchers" make the building not only functional, but also a symbol of creativity and joie de vivre.
The Moorfield Eye Hospital demonstrates how modern design combines practical requirements with a welcoming aesthetic. The facade, designed with I-SYS cable, emphasizes the importance of architecture that is both functional and inspiring - a perfect fit for a hospital that focuses on healing and education.
