Olgakrippe
The new Olga crèche at Kurpark in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt is a children's home that combines modern pedagogy with contemporary architecture. The five-storey facility offers space for nine groups and up to 130 children. As an independent urban building block, the nursery blends harmoniously into the neighborhood and its design language ties in with the villa architecture around the Kurpark.
The interior is characterized by open structures and plenty of daylight. A central "marketplace" forms the lively focal point around which the children's houses are arranged. Large window areas and striking light eyes in the stairwell open up wide views to the outside and create a bright, friendly atmosphere.
A special architectural highlight is the light and air stocking made of X-TEND Stainless Steel Cable Meshwhich spans several storeys and lends the building transparency and lightness. The balconies and staircase areas were also secured with X-TEND. Cable meshes with a mesh width of 40 mm and a diameter of 1.5 mm were used. They are low-maintenance, ETA and ensure reliable safety without compromising the open character of the building.
