Parking garage of the authority center
On the edge of the Odenwald lies the district town of Heppenheim, a town with historical significance that has been able to call itself that since 1318 and is known as the birthplace of the FDP. Today, it impresses with a deliberately sustainably designed administrative center that houses, among other things, the Office for Land Management and the Office for Roads and Traffic. The multi-storey parking lot belonging to the authority center meets the passive house standard and was tested according to strict sustainability criteria. It not only provides space for vehicles, but also serves as sound insulation for the office building facing Tiergartenstrasse.
The parking garage is spanned with 1,720 m² of X-TEND® CXE stainless steel cable mesh. This combination creates safe fall protection and ensures a bright, inviting atmosphere thanks to the high level of daylight transmission - even at night without "dark corners". The systems also support the greenery of the parking garage, making an important contribution to the passive house character and integrating the building harmoniously into its surroundings.
