Parking garage Landeskliniken Salzburg
At on the northern edge of the Alps, in the middle of the beautiful Salzburg Basin, is the city of Salzburg, known for its importance in the trade fair, congress and tourism sectors. The Salzburg-Mülln regional hospital, one of the largest medical locations in the region, has had a modern, eleven-storey multi-storey parking lot since 2017, which makes an important contribution to traffic calming with its 1,250 parking spaces.
The multi-storey parking lot meets the legal requirements of the city of Salzburg and the Salzburg state government to reduce traffic on the hospital grounds. When fully operational, public car traffic will be reduced to a minimum, significantly relieving the hospital grounds. An outstanding feature of the parking garage is the artistic facade design. The X-TEND® CXA Stainless Steel Cable Mesh not only serves as fall protection, but also forms the basis for an impressive floral ornament. 6,800 stainless steel were woven into the mesh structure to form an oversized floral motif. The steel strips, made of stainless steel material, are shiny on the inside and matt on the outside to avoid glare.
This sophisticated design not only ensures safety, but also gives the building a special aesthetic that goes far beyond its purely functional use.
