Panzerstrasse cycle highway bridge
The cycle highway bridge over the busy Panzerstraße in Böblingen was officially opened in July 2025 and is a central component of the RS 1 cycle highway between Stuttgart and Böblingen - the first cycle highway in Baden-Württemberg. Designed by Stuttgart-based engineering firm schlaich bergermann partner, the filigree structure impresses with its elegant arch construction and clear lines - a bridge that harmoniously combines functionality and architectural quality.
Filigree X-TEND Stainless Steel Cable Meshes with a mesh width of 60 mm and a cable diameter of 1.5 mm were used for the fall protection. They offer ETA safety, are low-maintenance and allow a clear view of the surrounding area thanks to their open structure.
