Project details

Roche Tower Basel

Towering high above the rooftops of Basel, the Roche Tower is an impressive building that harmoniously combines architecture and innovation. With its height of 175 meters, the tower dominates the city skyline and sets new standards for modern design. The basic shape of the building - a triangle - tapers elegantly upwards and allows an extraordinary amount of light to penetrate down to the lower floors. With 41 floors, the Roche Tower combines functionality with a clear, purist aesthetic that makes it a landmark of the region.

The X-TEND® stainless steel cable mesh was chosen. With a cable diameter of 1.5 mm and a mesh width of 40 mm, the filigree mesh blends seamlessly into the architecture of the tower. It ensures maximum safety and at the same time preserves the light, transparent appearance of the building. The X-TEND® mesh helps to emphasize the clear and modern design language of the Roche Tower. It allows the outdoor areas to be used safely without compromising the open view of the Basel cityscape.

Designed by the renowned architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, the Roche Tower demonstrates how innovative construction and pioneering security solutions such as X-TEND® can work together to create a unique, modern building. The Roche Tower is a symbol of modern design, functional security and pioneering architecture - a masterpiece that will make a lasting impression on the Basel skyline.
