Water veil, Neu-Ulm
On Heiner-Metzger-Platz in Neu-Ulm, visitors can look forward to a work of water art that delights with a refreshing water curtain. The water trickles down into a fountain basin via X-TEND® stainless steel cable meshes, while overflow boxes with integrated LED lighting distribute the water evenly.
The system's controls allow the various water curtains to be moved individually, giving the square a lively and interactive feel. In the evening, a light installation transforms the artwork into a fascinating play of colors and immerses the square in an atmospheric ambience.
With a surface area of 40 m², a mesh width of 25 mm and a cable diameter of 1 mm, the X-TEND CXE mesh provides the ideal basis for the interplay of water, light and movement.
The water veil on Heiner-Metzger-Platz is not only an aesthetic highlight, but also a place to meet and relax. It shows how technical precision and artistic design can go hand in hand to make urban spaces lively and inviting.
