China leopard enclosure

Hoyerswerda Zoo, known for its species-appropriate animal husbandry and natural enclosure design, is home to a variety of exotic animal species. A particular highlight is the enclosure for the China leopards.

The enclosure offers the animals numerous climbing opportunities and retreats. Low-maintenance, durable and weather-resistant X-TEND® stainless steel cable mesh was used for the enclosure, ensuring both safety and a transparent and open design. The leopards can move around in a species-appropriate environment, while the cable mesh provides a secure boundary without obstructing the view. In this way, the enclosure contributes to the species-appropriate keeping of the animals and allows visitors an undisturbed view of the leopards.
