Project details

Dolphin lagoon fencing

Nuremberg Zoo is known for its innovative animal husbandry and the natural design of its enclosures. The focus is particularly on the large water worlds. One example of this is the dolphin lagoon, which not only offers visitors fascinating insights into the lives of dolphins, but also meets safety and design requirements.

To protect the pools against unauthorized access and falls, railings with X-TEND® stainless steel cable mesh were installed around the dolphin lagoon as railing infills. This solution provides a safe, stable and transparent barrier that gives visitors an unobstructed view of what is happening in the pool.

The robust and largely maintenance-free stainless steel cable meshes are characterized by their durability and weather resistance, making them the ideal choice for securing the dolphin lagoon.
