Free flight aviary Ostrava Zoo

At Ostrava Zoo in the Czech Republic, a walk-in free-flight aviary was created that offers the birds a species-appropriate habitat and replicates the ideal of a natural habitat. X-TEND® stainless steel cable mesh was used for this enclosure structure.

The X-TEND® cable mesh offers a customized solution that meets the specific safety requirements of the respective animal species thanks to individually adapted mesh widths and cable diameter. It is also particularly low-maintenance, durable and resistant to a wide range of weather conditions.

Thanks to its open structure, the cable mesh blends seamlessly into its surroundings and promotes a natural sense of habitat. It offers the animals space to move freely and at the same time ensures the necessary safety.
