Ostrava Zoo Aviary

Ostrava Zoo, located in the east of the Czech Republic, is one of the largest and most important zoos in the country. Since its opening in 1951, the zoo, which covers an area of around 100 hectares, has developed into an important institution for species conservation and education. With over 400 animal species from different continents, Ostrava Zoo offers its visitors a fascinating journey through the animal world. The zoo places particular emphasis on natural enclosures, innovative exhibition concepts and support for global species conservation projects, making it not only a tourist attraction but also an important contribution to the protection of endangered species.

X-TEND®stainless steel cable mesh was used to design the aviary in line with these principles. The cable mesh is optimally adapted to the safety requirements of the bird species thanks to individually adapted mesh sizes and cable diameter. It is characterized by its durability, extensive maintenance-free operation and resistance to various weather conditions.

Thanks to its open structure, the cable mesh blends harmoniously into its surroundings and provides an unobstructed view of the birds.
